So, what exactly is this Decentraland Career Quest?
Career Quest is Decentraland’s flagship event designed to help people navigate the emerging job market in Web3. It transforms a virtual environment into a structured platform for career discovery learning and connection. The 2025 edition took place in the Career Quest Plaza and across live sessions within Decentraland’s virtual world.
In the Metaverse city of Decentraland, you could pick your own avatar outfit and step right into a digital world where the experience never stopped. From exploring virtual cities and visiting company booths to making new connections with people around the world and even trying out REAL BLOCKCHAIN TRANSACTIONS there was something for everyone.
It meant to be a lot like a game in Metaverse at first but it quickly became clear that this was something more. It was a space where learning, meeting others and discovering new career paths all came together in a fully immersive Web3 ecosystem.
Career Quest 2025 reached thousands of users inside the metaverse and generated over 600000 impressions across platforms like Decentraland YouTube Discord and other social networks.

Hosted by Decentraland from July 16 to 17 this two day immersive event shifted the landscape for professional development in decentralized spaces.
Who Was Metana at the Career Quest?
Metana joined Career Quest 2025 as the Official Training Provider. That role allowed us to contribute educational resources and insights while observing how virtual worlds are becoming career platforms.
We contributed a practical workshop titled Building a Web3 Resume That Gets You Hired where participants learned how to write about projects showcase skills and build a Web3 portfolio. The session was free and open to everyone inside the metaverse. It was also streamed on YouTube for users outside the platform.

Metana team members participated in live X Spaces alongside other speakers like Kim Carrier and Bay Backner who shared their journeys into Web3. These discussions focused on how people transitioned from traditional roles into blockchain careers and how new talent can get started.

SheFi is a global community and learning platform that helps women and non-binary folks explore Web3 and crypto through fun, hands-on lessons and support for growing their careers in the space.
Bondex is a Web3-powered professional network that lets users take control of their career identity while earning rewards. It’s designed to help you build a dynamic profile with verifiable skills, connect with recruiters, earn referral bounties, and collect Bond points and access token-based rewards through the $BDXN economy.
Who Took Part
The event drew a diverse audience. Aspiring developers, designers, marketers product leads, DAO members and curious newcomers all found space to explore. Many attendees were early in their Web3 journey and wanted to understand what real roles and training options existed. Others attended to network contribute to new protocols or join mentors and peers in community discussions.

As part of Metana’s involvement in Career Quest we will announce two full scholarships for Metana’s Full Stack Web3 Beginner Bootcamp. This program is designed for learners who have already completed the software engineering fundamentals and are ready to explore smart contracts blockchain architecture and decentralized applications
Applications for the scholarship were open to Career Quest attendees and Decentraland community members.
We received dozens of high quality submissions and are currently in the process of choosing the two final winners. The selection is based on motivation previous experience and alignment with Web3 values. The winners will receive full tuition plus guaranteed job placement through our industry network.
