Frequently Asked Questions
No. This bootcamp is designed for complete beginners. The first 12 weeks cover web development fundamentals; HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React, and Node.js; before transitioning into Rust and Solana in the advanced 16-week phase. If you already know how to code and only want the Rust/Solana portion, the standalone Web3 Rust Bootcamp is a better fit.
The Full Stack Rust Bootcamp (28 weeks) starts from zero and it teaches you web development first, then Rust and Solana. The Web3 Rust Bootcamp is Rust/Solana only and assumes you already have at least 2 years of coding experience. If you're a beginner, start here. If you're an experienced developer, the standalone Rust bootcamp gets you there faster.
The advanced phase focuses on Solana using Rust. Solana is one of the fastest and lowest-fee blockchains, and Rust developers on Solana are among the highest-paid in Web3. The beginner phase also touches on Ethereum fundamentals, so you graduate with cross-chain awareness.
If you complete the bootcamp, actively job search, and don't land a job paying within six months of graduating, Metana refunds your tuition in full. There's also a two-week no-questions-asked refund window at the start if the program isn't the right fit. (T&C applies)
The program is part-time and online, requiring around 25 hours per week. Most students balance it alongside a job or studies, though it does require consistent daily commitment especially during the Rust/Solana phase which is technically demanding.
